Quincy Jones | Mellow Madness

Original Vinyl / Curated Selection: Analog vibes

Released in 1975, Mellow Madness is Quincy Jones at his most fluid, slipping between jazz, soul, and funk with effortless control. It’s a studio masterclass: deep grooves, lush arrangements, and the debut of a young vocal trio called The Brothers Johnson. Tracks like “Is It Love That We’re Missing?” and “Paranoid” balance slick orchestration with raw emotion. This isn’t background music, it’s precision soul with a pulse.

Part of our curated vintage vinyl collection, this original pressing preserves the richness of analog-era Quincy: layered, immersive, alive. The sleeve glows with mid-70s flair. The wax? Smooth, with just enough static to feel grounded.
